Random Bits of this and That:)

 So my DH ordered some of that funky tea that is a flower, that actually "blooms" in the teapot. So we decided to try it the other night. This is what it looked like out of the package...just a tight lil ball of...pink and green grassiness..lol







Then here it is after we brewed a pot...pretty neat if you ask me:)

And the tea was pretty tasty as well...DH actually saved some for iced tea. If you have the chance to try this,I totally recommend it:)

So Wed was the last day of school for my lil man, he is officially a first grader now:)
So I decided it was time for a date day:) Since all he has been talking about it the new Cars2 movie, I figured I'd take him. So I make sure we get there in plenty of time, I make sure I have quarters for the arcade. Don't you know, they converted the whole arcade to tokens only, and of course the only token machine was BROKEN. Try explaining that to a 6 year old who has been waiting for this day for months. Aye...
So we decided to ...yikes..get a snack...(my first installment payment is due next week)

Pretzels with an array of dipping sauces..lol we had Mayo, Honey Mustard, regular Mustard, and Ranch.
Another cool thing that happened at the movies was that he got a free book when we purchased our tix!

So we walked around and checked out all the "Coming Soon" posters, and of course all the ones for Cars2 were way up high...but he did find a few that he liked....

here he is, doing his best Optimist Prime impersonation...err..Transformination? you know...acting like a robot..lol

He was so excited! It was a huge..very cool display:)
On a side note, speaking of robots...my daughter will NOT be getting a scholarship.....

She was walking around with this bucket on her head saying " I . am. a . robot." lol it was pretty funny:)
So back to the movie date:)

Puss in Boots is another movie we are anxious to see, I always thought he was a pretty interesting cat...
We suddenly realized that 1:05 had turned into 1:28 so we hustled to get a seat, and finish our snack in the theater..

So did I mention this was in 3D? A first for both of us. Totally dig the 3D thing I must say! :)
Even the previews were in 3D! Cars2 gets a very enthusiastic 2 thumbs up:) by the way:)


And since I can't seem to post as often as I'd like, I will just throw in the pics of my flowers and stuff..lol:)

This is Hibiscus..looks sooo pretty..there are 3 trees on the edges of one of the garden areas..BTW my DH takes care of the plants, trees, shrubs, veggies, and anything else growing outside..I have NOTHING to do with any of it:)

These lil flowers are cute, they have lil vines that will reach out and creep and climb whatever is close. They are supposed to attract butterflies and hummingbirds, but I have yet to see either....

I love these in the window box:) I did choose them, but of course forgot the name of them..lol
The pink one is sooo bright the pic just doesn't do it justice, but figured I'd share anyway...
My DH just came over and made fun for blogging flower pics..lmao

And a much deserved trip To BK, where my son as usual...proves the theory that all boys just HAVE to make faces....

And to top off the end of the school year...( ? I dunno..sounded good..lol )
DH got me a new super shiny!!! :0 It is Rutillated Quartz, but instead of the usual titanium or iron ore..mine has Tourmaline in it!!! so fancy:0 I love it..it's a skating rink, but I love it anyway! :)

Monday Monday

So the days just keep getting fuller and fuller, and I was already needing more hours in one...whew! :)
I went to my son's school BBQ last week. The had a band and everything. They played dixieland mostly, but it was still cool. Me and my boy were the ONLY people dancing. And boy can we cut a rug..or a school gym floor as it were..lol ate our burgers, and played on the playground. Then of course I had to hitail it back to work for readings..but we had a great time.

Everytime I take a pic of my son, he just HAS to make a face..what's up with that?? lol
I have been feeling a bit under the weather lately, well, no..I am, actually just dying a slow painful death of sinus blockages and lack of taste buds, and if I can't taste..well hell, just shoot me now..lol
Saturday we kinda just relaxed a bit, I was def not up for yard sailing or anything, but I of course went to work, like a good girl should. Good thing too, cuz it was busy:)

So Sunday was Father's Day, and after we gave DH our homemade cards and had breakfast, we headed over to grandma's house, where we were also celebrating auntie's bday.
The kids got to swim and have fun on the swingset. My DH brought the best ribs EVER and chicken too of course. He was up at the crack of dawn getting everything going on the grill. and OH MY was it scrumptious:) mmmm

Yes I started it when I was a kid, they all thought I was looney, but they all do it now..lol

DH is working on the trailer remodel..so far so good. he damn near gutted the thing. But I will be patient, cuz when it's done, it will be all ours and it will rock!

OH and my new gripe? paying to get into a state beach. The same state I live, work and pay taxes in. Yep. If I was going to another state, taking up their space, polluting their fresh air etc.. then I would fully understand and maybe even EXPECT to pay a fee..no problem. But wtf? I already pay to be here!!!! Now I have to pay to go to the fing beach???? UUGGHHHH! Then I find out that they will be doubling the fees by the end of the month. Some crap our latest and lamest Governor has decided to pull.  So you bet I'm gonna go pay the 30 bucks for a season pass before it's 60 that I can afford even less. In a week, it's paid for, or 2 times on the weekend..lol
 We are going to try to get out to the water more often. Like I said, the kids has a BLAST and it was nice for us too..minus the kick start going there gave my cold somehow...but anywhoo..

I don't think I'll post tomorrow, we have Happy Goddess Tuesday, a circle for the Summer solstice (yaaaaayyy) and a Blessing for a friend's new baby:) I'll catch u up next time!

Yahoooooo Friday!

Ok, so it's been a few days since I blogged, but things were DEF busy! Spent some quality time with my bestie who came to visit:) which was awesome. I hadn't seen her in almost a year, but it was like it hadn't been a day:) Had such a great time. We took a drive to Maine to pick up her daughter for vaca..during which we chatted a LOT.

 And of course indulged in our fave pizza!!
She left us on Tue night, and I have to admit I was sadder than I thought I'd be. Just thinking about the drive that day, and all the talking we did, and how it seemed as though I had just seen her the day before. I don't think there's anyone else, that I have talks with the way I do her. Not better than other talks..just well..more "meaningful" I guess? I mean, we just get right down to the core of things, and we share similar outlooks, so you know how that can be..:)

My son was so sad after she left, he's only 6. He was all teary saying how much he was going to miss her, and that he was sad that she had to go back to Florida, he made me cry..I felt so bad...lol..
But we will see her again soon:) I am grateful for the time I got to spend with her, seeing as her being here was really just a 3 day layover..lol

Not really too much else going on..we took an impromptu trip to the beach yesterday afternoon. The kids had sooo much fun! It was really their first time just hanging out, playing in the sand etc.. my son ended up in the water..he loooved it! all he kept saying is that he wanted to catch waves..lol.
We were going to go back this morning, but we have storms on the way:( Maybe next week!
and I have no pics, because well..I really didn't want to get sand on a phone or a camera:(

Crazy week!

So let me start with the storm that chased US the other day...it really did. Weather has been so crazy lately, all over the country, but even here in the NE we are seeing things that we never have before, not only the tornadoes, but simple threatening skies, that have just never been so threatening in our area. In the 35 years I have lived here, I have never ever seen the skies look like they have been. It's just strange. A lil scary sometimes actually.

This was when I stuck my phone out the window to confirm that the storm, was indeed chasing us..blury, but a cool shot nonetheless in my opinion:)

So my Bestie arrived Sat. afternoon!! She showed up at my shop and I was oh so happy to see her!!
We had to get the obligatory "I'm at the Cauldron" pic

Yes, I have a black leather couch in the shop. It just seemed like the thing to do! lol  :D
So happy to see her, I can't even tell you. We have 10 months of hugs and laughter and tears to catch up on..
She is onky here for a few days, and trying to visit as many of her peeps as she can. Last night a few of us had our evening on my deck, another "must" my DH made the most awesome ribs...thank the gods he's off the "I stopped eating meat" bandwagon..lol actually, even when he wasn't eating meat, he still grilled for me, he's awesome like that:) swoon:D..I digress..

Yeah, sinful, deliciousness indeed! :)

after drinks and ribs, Angela had to make Cheesy Chips. my bff hasn't had them in almost a year, and as you might have guessed, is a very indulgent kind of treat.

cheesy gooey goodness, or badness, all depends on your mood I suppose..lol
BUT the ladies were all beat, and pooped out early on me:(..admittedly, I was kind of beat myself.
So this morning my bff came and picked up my daughter (her fairy god daughter) and went to run errands like they used to do... and we met up with them for a nice lunch out on the water..had some chowda n clamcakes:)
Sister was amazed and thrilled that there were lil birds everywhere eating crumbs.....

so we all enjoyed a yummy lunch, and sister got to "slide down" a few times before we left..
gods, this is turning into my last few days..in photos...lol

OH and good gravy..how could I forget! we went to my other bff's house on Sunday for her daughter's 2nd bday party. What fun we had! and it didn't even rain!! :D

We had such fun, and Sister is still talking about it of course! and my Bff gave both of my kids the MOST unbelieveable goodie bags to take home! it was like a huge bday/xmas gift thing. and the goodies inside each of them were oh so appropriate for each of my kids.l They are having a blast with their new goodies;) Huge props to her. She rocks. hence the bffness etc..lol

And this is my daughter's room, yes mind youy she is 2.5 yrs old. I finally hung these posters up for her..got them like a month ago...she's totally team Jacob..lol my lil wolf girl:)

it has been a crazy last week or so actually.
Tomorrow I hit the road bright and early with my bestie from fl to go to maine to pick up her daughter for vacation. Then I have to be back at the shop by 6 for Tarot class, and then we of course, have Goddess Group, which my bestie will attend, she has been missing them since she moved. And apparently, there are no other cool ladies get together type things from what I have been hearing..so yall come out to the Cauldron!!
And so, I suppose, that's all the news that's fit to dish. I have, in the lase few days said, "that's going in my blog!" hope Istuck them all in here somewhere..who the hell knows..lol
So, I was thinking of doing a lil tarot type blog or something..maybe I will...I still have to figure out some stuff on the whole blogging situation..lol
